I flew through this. Literally flew like a rocket speeding across our stratosphere and into the space!

I picked this book up for two reasons. 1. The author is BIPOC and I want to make it a point to read more books by BIPOC authors, especially South Asian, and 2. Daisy Patel and I share our love for coding, logic and, beyond all, have no interest in an arranged marriage!

What I didn’t expect was to completely fall head over heels in love with Daisy and her family. They remind me much of my own. A little nosy, downright crazy but definitely home-ly.

There were way too many cheesy moments, and way too many embarrassing ones. I laughed, cried and hid my face from secondhand embarrassment.
Daisy grew on me, I fell in love with her passion for the company she worked, and the friendships she made along the way. Liam is a cool, soft-hearted and genuinely a good guy with the “bad boy” looks. I definitely found myself rooting for the two the entire time.

The only thing I disliked was how everything just *fell in place* and how Daisy’s hate for Liam wasn’t justified, and to be fair the amount of ranting and venting got a little annoying after a while. Also the amount of Marvel underwear. I mean I get that she is quirky, but she isn’t 12.

There’s something for everyone’s favorite tropes:
✨ enemies to lovers
✨ fake dating
✨ decent amount of indecent sexy times
