Anne of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery
5.0
While I can't say I love this book as much as the first book (because listen—I LOVE the first book), it still feels like a perfect sequel. Anne's life in her beloved community continues on much the same as it always has, and yet, there are subtle changes throughout Avonlea.
Even though there's not much in the way of a solid plot, many of Anne's experiences seem to hold a similar, bittersweet theme: Time is always moving forward, and all good things must come to an end. An ending, however, is also the beginning of something new, an unknown that might come to be as lovely and cherished as the past.
