I really wanted to love this. The setting is great and I love a good murder mystery. Unfortunately I couldn't get past how overwritten it is and the stilted, very formal language was a chore. Once

the main character was attacked by an escaped zoo animal and nobody reacted to it in any way

I decided enough was enough and put it down.
