Having read a few books By Rhodes before, this ARC caught my attention right away by the cover (of course), and with it being about a jock/nerd pairing? Right up my alley! I will say now that having not read the first two books in the series, I still did not feel lost when reading this one! 

 

 

I know what I loved within this book was: {jock and nerd pairing, easygoing and peaceful small town atmosphere, Ronan’s uncle with all his adventures & wisdom, good humor, romantic settings, descriptions of nature, Disney reference, ups and downs of trying to be with someone you love, and how both Ronan and Tyler were nervous yet were brave enough to give each other a chance}! Overall, I adored the laidback, calming atmosphere to the area Blue Harbor within the story. Add in the guy’s romantic, sexual, and adventurous moments made this a fun read! Again, always love a match between a hunky nerd and meathead jock! 

 

 

The main areas of improvements that I would suggest are: {minor grammar errors, inconsistent eye color change between MCs, and one interrupted sex scene with random humor that I felt was not needed}. Grammar and inconsistencies aside, the biggest one here for me was the attempt at humor during a sex scene. It was not horrible, but did take me out of a smoking moment between them that would have been better left uninterrupted. Otherwise, I still had a good time reading this! 

 

 Recommendation: 

 

I would recommend this book if you are looking for a low angst romance in a small town, combined with all of the positives I mentioned above! Especially if you love the jock/nerd troupe! Thank you Rhodes for this ARC! Happy reading!
