His Mask of Retribution. Margaret McPhee by Margaret McPhee
4.0
I was expecting a short romance novel which is a nice read but not that great a writing style. Steady yourselves because - and I don't say this lightly - I. Was. Wrong.
The writing, the dialogue, the character development were all very well done, while the plot was surprisingly tense and more than enjoyable.
I thought that Marianne would annoy me because of her naivety but actually is was bourne out of trust rather than stupidity and because of this I warmed to her. I DEFINITELY warmed to Rafe. Despite his questionable name...
