While I very much enjoyed Mist&Fury, I just can’t get down with the inner circle. There is just some thing about how the perfection of these characters makes it hard for them to be relatable in anyway, and leaves me feeling very detached and hard to understand how the problems are difficult when you have the most powerful high lord, the greatest war leader, the greatest high fae created ect…..it just feels like reading a book about the Fae %1. I don’t know, it’s good entertainment, and I’ll get around to the rest of the books. I sincerely hope this book doesn’t put me in a slump.
It honestly was the solidifying point for me when the end of the war was wrapped up in a neat little bow, with a HEA.. it’s war babes. Where’s the consequences of war. I realize it’s fantasy but I wish any of it felt real.
