Macbeth by William Shakespeare
5.0
Third time reading:
Macbeth never disappoints.
Second time reading:
I still absolutely love this, it's probably my favorite Shakespeare play. I also still want a modern retelling from the witches' pov, especially now that my headcanon is that Lady Macbeth is another witch working to spread chaos and corruption!
First time reading:
On another level! This is dramatic to the point where it becomes funny, and Shakespeare's genius really shines through. I want a modern retelling of this book from the witches' perspectives, so we can see them mess with humans for entertainment, because let's be real that's what was actually happening here! Also I am proud to announce that I am apparently not of woman born, who would've thought.
