Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys

I guess I'm a dark soul, but I've always loved reading WWII/Holocaust books. This one told a different narrative of the war that is not a well known piece of history, the story of the Gustloff. The ship, meant to be a refuge for thousands of people, was instead a death sentence. I'm continually fascinated by the horrors of this war.
