Couldn't get past the first chapter.

I know these are romance novels but they should at least be somewhat true to life and that includes actions and behaviors.

For someone who was literally snatched off the street, drugged, and is about to meet a a ruthless mob boss, Sloane has has jokes.

Too many jokes.

Jokes for days.

Instead of fearing and pleading for her life, her biggest concern is the fact that her captor "doesn't like her". Its annoying and so is she. This is not the behavior for anyone placed in this type of situation. Even for someone as snarky and sarcastic as this heroine is supposed to be.
