This book was my multiverse of madness. And all the 5 stars of the world for that sole reason. No but seriously though, this book unleashed chaos and I thrived in it. Whether it served as a conclusion of Grishaverse or not I do not know, but it did bring the story of Nikolai and Zoya home. I was so so happy seeing their character development. Especially Zoya. The girl with thorns and rage and sorrow transformed into someone so beautiful and powerful.

One might say too much was happening in this book with too many characters. Personally I totally loved this. This duology was supposed to be Zoyalai's story. I think most of it happened in KoS and so RoW felt a little bleak on that. But it worked for the plot though.

There were many subplots in this story, my favorite being the mini heist. Characters of past and present converged and fought and this story came alive. It was really epic. I had so many favorite moments in this book. And equally heart wrenching moments too.

I am failing to review this book properly. But at this point does anyone need any introduction to Grishaverse books? So in conclusion I will just say that :

I loved this book as the final one. I loved how Nikolai became more of a king and fought so bravely for his country, his people and his love. I loved how Zoya finally got the courage to love and grow out of her sorrows. I loved how Genya, David, Tamar and Tolya reminded us what conscience is and what kind of war we should fight and more importantly they reminded everyone the power of love and bond. I loved how Nadia, Adrik and Leoni persisted and didn't give up. I loved how Nina kept on fighting and never forgot her vows to Matthias. I loved how Hanne finally became who they were meant to be all this time. I loved how Alina and Mal still came back to help this war torn country. I love how the Crows saw meaning to Ravka's fight. I even loved how Mayu, Reyem and Birgin remembered where the true battle lays and had the courage to join the cause.

Each of these characters went through so much throughout their lives. They lost their loved ones. They mourn for something they never had. And yet they stood up and kept on fighting and fighting and fighting. This book was also a story of courage. Courage of some very strong women who braved to see their past and make some very tough decisions. It must not have been easy for Zoya, Genya, Nina, Hanne, Tamar and even Ehri and Mayu but they did it. Their stories will surely give hope and lit a fire in all girls' hearts.

This book was an epic conclusion for the love Leigh felt for these characters and perhaps for the readers too. They belong to Leigh but I will remain to sing for you long after the spring has gone.
