A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
5.0
A thousand splendid suns :) .
.
“Like a compass needle that points north, a man’s accusing finger always finds a woman. Always”. - Khaled Hosseini. .

.
This man is pure genius and his mind is magic. I’ve read three books by him so far and I loved all of it. It’s pure and so full of emotions that I don’t even want to keep it aside for a minute. Like all of his books that revolve around Kabul, this book follows the same pattern. The story is about two women born under different circumstances and how their lives get intertwined years later. Mariam, who never received love from her parents will be loved back thirty years later in an unexpected manner. Laila, who was born in a loving family goes through turbulence and finally finds her true love in the end. Khaled speaks in detail about the times where Kabul was under distress and had to suffer the deaths of thousands. This book is beautifully written that words fail to express the rawness of it all. I’d rate it 5/5. .

P.S. A must read :)
