Wild at Heart by K.A. Tucker

5.0

4.5-5 stars; I liked this better than the first book tbh. Both were good, but I really enjoyed seeing what happens after the "happily ever after" that occurs when characters get together. The character development in this book was established so well, and many moments really pulled at my heartstrings. Despite Calla being in the wilderness in an isolated plot of land in Alaska, I think many themes were actually relatable and important when it comes to being in a relationship. I'm really glad Calla paved her own path in Alaska and her community.

highlights:
- Calla's character development
- Calla's relationship with Roy
- Muriel
- Jonah and Calla's conversations and compromises
- Toby

I actually thought the pace of this book was pretty good; some scenes were a bit unnecessary, but enjoyable overall.
