I have some conflicting opinions on this book. For one the love story goes from enemies to something more with not a smooth enough transition for me. Second, we’re told how smart this character is and yet she makes some dumb decisions. Finally the big twist at the end, while super cool and unexpected, makes little sense.
the book is from Kallie’s point of view and at the end you find out she’s been kind of evil the whole time and that the bumbling damsel in distress thing is a complete act. It’s just hard to buy when the whole book you’re hearing her thoughts and concerns. It just feels like the narrative got to a point and then the ending got made up and glued on.
