I kind of love when an authorโs first work gets a revamp, and this one packed all of the Sarah Adams cuteness.
๐ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ ๐๐ป๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป: The Match by Sarah Adams
๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐: It Happened in Charleston character series. Book 1.
๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐น๐: Listened to audiobook within the Libby app.
๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฟ๐ฒ: Contemporary romance
๐ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐: Single dad, strangers-to-lovers, disability rep, caretaking, found family.
๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ป๐ผ๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐: Evie has epilepsy, and has devoted her life to an organization that helps raise service dogs. She meets Jake, a jaded single father who is conned into getting a service dog by his sassy daughter who also suffers from the disease.
๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐: I always leave a Sarah Adams book feeling light and fluffy.
I really enjoyed the subject matter here - I loved that the pair bonded over Jakeโs daughter, and that Sarah Adams wrote in the realities of epilepsy to her two characters. I didnโt even mind that there was only a small amount of spice - it was all very well written and left a smile on my face.
The narrators, Rusty Mewha and Leanne Woodward, were a great duo. I loved the playful banter between the characters, and thought Rusty Mewha did a great job with Jakeโs emotional moments.
