Bartleby & Co. by Enrique Vila-Matas
5.0
I'm astounded, I'm glad. Vila-Matas is a writer who sees me, his books are therapeutic.
I have jotted down 15 or so passages, the book is 178 pages. Everything about this book is worth returning to. Everything about this book is worth returning to.
"Towards the end of his days, he crawls around his room and licks - as if he were writing - the walls. 'He asked to be given a straitjacket,' writes Savinio, 'as you would ask a waiter for a beer.'"
