I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
4.0
I knew I had to read this after hearing all about Jeanette on Makalya Petersons Podcast. What a life! Yikes.
I feel like whoever wrote the book with her did a great job with the narration and layout. Sometimes, celebrity memoirs suffer from such terrible editting. But this is totally worth the time to read.
I feel like her upbringing was very extreme but also not out of character for child stars and Hollywood..
I would not be surprised if there are more revelations of this sort over the next few years, particularly as the child celebrities that are multigenerational move into thier own lives (especially if they leave the movie business and get a real life occupation)
