I loved this duology but I just can’t get on board with the ending. The way V.E. Schwab chose to end it just didn’t make sense to me. In my opinion, when you write that kind of plot twist it should serve an equally significant purpose. But it didn’t really seem to have any significant ramifications or impact on the story itself,the character’s development, or the other characters’ development. And as such it came across to me as unnecessary. I honestly can’t figure out why V.E. Schwab decided to write it like that.
