Read this Tor novella as a part of r/horrorlit’s book club reading list for July. I’m not too familiar with H.P. Lovecraft (yet) but I liked the idea that this story serves as a rebuttal to one of Lovecraft’s stories, challenging the racism of his day. 4/5 stars
I’ll add more of this author’s work to my TBR list, next book being The Changeling.
