Chris's voice and personality really shone through this book. It came off as a casual conversation - you'd bumped into him in a pub and he was telling you about his life. It was a really fast, enjoyable read in that sense, and a pretty comprehensive history of his musical life. The amount of detail this guy is able to recall seriously impressed me.

There's this undercurrent of cruelty towards David that comes off in underhanded, holier than thou scenes peppered through the book. It just seemed like bad form to me; the way the narrative went about it wasn't very mature.

But other than that, it was a really fun read.
