I started this book eight years ago, because I was in a silent hill phase (which has yet to end, btw), and it took me most of those eight years to read half of it. the other half I finished just this week. I look back at some of the notes I wrote in the margins (which this book invites if not requires) and I don't recognize the person that wrote them. when you enter this book, you might find yourself dreading to leave.
