in terms of books we read for this book club this one was actually decently well written with some actual nuance. ALSO it had a murder mystery. a little less "scifi" bookclub and more "this is just steampunk fantasy" though...

after reading his description though i kept imagining the main love interest as looking like klavier gavin from ace attorney and that did not really add to the reading experience. this is not on the author this is on me.

heard this has two sequels and the third one was the one i was most curious about...
