It was a very informative book and at the same time quite an emotional read. Children's stories chosen for the book were incredibly sad but also mostly hopeful. I will definitely reach for more books on the topic of brain development.

One note though: this book is quite dated and it shows. The author expressed opinions that are no longer widely held as scientifically true, it shows mainly when autism is mentioned. He also describes pansexuality as pathological which rubbed me the wrong way.
