Gosh, it was amazing. 😩 The sequel to An Ember in the Ashes by @sabaatahir absolutely blew my mind with it’s amazing characters, threatening world that terrifyingly reminded me of Game of Thrones and beautiful, beautiful lyrical passages and jarring dialogues.

As Laia and Elias fought to escape the wrath of new Emperor Marcus and his Blood Shrike Helene, I loved how the smallest of things set in place could crumble the plans for everyone at stake. 🌑 All I want to do is read it again but my heart and head still need to process everything that went down.
