The Falling in Love Montage by Ciara Smyth

5.0

All my years of begging for a wlw Hallmark movie have FINALLY PAID OFF, and if that doesn't make you want to read this book immediately, may I also tell you that it has an extremely raw representation of hereditary mental illness?
This book appealed to both my inner hopeless romantic and nihilist with Ruby and Saorise, and it wasn't even three chapters until I knew I had to keep reading. Saorise's narration is snarky and relatable and the story is simultaneously endearing and bittersweetly painful and not only does have an EXCELLENT romance, but it also features a friendship that I honestly enjoyed seeing just as much as the lovey-dovey stuff.
If you've been waiting for a lesbian version of What If It's Us, this is the book for you.
