This is just a fun read. Something you can just pick up and easily follow and enjoy the adventure without much hassle.
There is plenty of plot hooks and drama to keep you interested in the book but personally I didn't find this high stress or stakes but instead it felt like there needed to be something outside of the academy. I think the plot hooks that have been set up for the next book will feel more inline with how I felt the first book to be.
My only query out of the whole book is the people on the cover are meant to be teenagers? I will never understand.
