Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
4.0
This book brings me a lot of mixed feelings. On the one hand it has what I love the most about any book (or story for that matter) which is great characters, the characters here are diverse, loveable, they hit you on a different way but you connect with them.
Fortunately (for me) or unfortunately (for many others), the plot itself here feels like a really painful appendix that begs to be removed. It is utterly awful and predictable and just really pointless to the point of being forgettable.
If John Green were to write a book with only characters going through live without any shenanigans or really weak plot... I guess you could summarize it better with John’s own words in this book, “The talking is my favorite part”
