City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab has been the right type of book for me - full of action, adventure, and paranormal activity. I highly recommend it if you are longing for something simple and entertaining in this time of stress.
The story is about a girl (11ish?) and her friend, a ghost, who are drawn into a paranormal quest in a haunted city of Edinburgh. There isn’t much philosophical depth or complicated world building, but there is a nice tale about friendship. And a captivating ghost fantasy.
