While this was a good continuation of the series, I didn’t like it as much as the first book in the installation.
In the first book, I felt that the main character forced things to happen to her, whereas, in this book things happened of their own accord. The plot was happening to her rather than because of her. In addition to that The back-and-forth between her and the love interest as to the will, they won’t be seemed a little forced. We kept hearing about consequences of them getting together, but then we’re never really presented any real consequences. The pace suffered a little bit right towards the 2/3rds mark but once you got in the last 50 pages, it really picked up again. The ending was gut wrenching!
