Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness by Susannah Cahalan

4.0

Now, that's how you write a memoir.

Susannah Cahalan's story is so incredibly powerful, and moving, and terrifying, but so interesting from an academic and scientific viewpoint. As someone who is studying psychology, there wasn't anything in this memoir that bored me or confused me, and I definitely learnt a lot. I think this book is super accessible for those who have a background in psychology, and even for those who know nothing about the subject. I really, really enjoyed this memoir, and I think I would recommend it to just about everyone reading this.
