Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins

5.0

Well written? No
Gripping tell-all memoir of a geopolitical mover? Yes

An important book for those interested in how economists flub numbers intentionally to entice foreign countries to sign off on investment projects including construction and engineering corporate pillaging. I’ve been keen on operations like this for some time but it was still very interesting to hear it from an operator himself.

Recommended to those who enjoy memoirs, geopolitics, economics, and foreign policy history.
