The Kremlin's Candidate by Jason Matthews
4.0
This is not a -good- book. However, it is fastpaced and fun, especially if you're reading it in the Trump Era as it has fantastically topical moments. The jabs at America's current political climate are hilarious and disheartening, as they should be. Beyond that, it is a standard espionage romp - expect lots of intimate detail during deadly fights and to forsee every "twist." That said, the ending does redeem it so I suggest sticking it out!
