The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
5.0
I love this book. It is a story that is a little prince aching for adventure. In his adventure, he comes across various adults each suffering from their chosen roles. The little prince, in his adventure, begins to appreciate the simplicity of his small asteroid. This book is truly great at reflecting how difficult adults are with their roles in life. Each asteroid the little prince visits the adult is too busy to truly give the little prince attention or conversation. Instead, the tell the little prince about their jobs and how important the job is before telling the little prince to be on his way. The fox is truly wise in this story which is quite interesting. It is the fox that teaches the little prince of responsibility and how responsibility that changes people and people's behavior.
It is a heartbreaking story, this small prince disillusioned about adulthood.
This book is truly enjoyable and a pleasant read about the difficulties of responsibility either to a small flower or lighting a lamp post.
