🏒🌈❤️Him features friends-to-lovers, misunderstandings, mutual pining, hot af smut, blowjobs (I feel like it deserves its own mention), bets, bantering, smack talk, hockey, falling in love, and summer camp adventures 🏒🌈❤️
I am slightly obsessed with sports romances these days and Him really hit the spot. This is my first 5 star read in April and it's also by far the porniest read.
Summary: Wes and Jamie used to be best friends but drifted apart before college when Wes ghosted Jamie without any sort of explanation. Sure their last night at camp might've been a little out of the ordinary but Jamie still doesn't get what happened. A few years later, when their college hockey teams are set to face off against each other, Wes and Jamie finally get a chance to talk, and when they both spend their summer coaching at the hockey camp they used to attend, they're able to rekindle their friendship… and maybe it'll also give Jamie a chance to explore his sexuality even if that won't help Wes get over his epic crush on his former bff.
I adore Jamie and Wes and I couldn't be more excited to have more books about them still to read. I listened to this one on audiobook and… it has a lot of straight up smut which meant I couldn't listen on the bus like I usually do haha. But I mean, damn. I don't usually listen to these kinds of books on audio but I liked the narrators and it actually worked for me. Honestly, Him was so good, I loved the boys' banter and how their relationship evolved, and I'm trying to pace myself with the next book because I want to just bask in their happiness for a bit and know there's still more to come (pun intended.)
