Review: Butter My Biscuit is a laugh out loud romance between two best friends who are so oblivious about their feelings towards each other it got painful! Harrison and Grace’s story was full of the ups and downs you want in a best friends to lovers romance, while also full of banter that makes you roll on the floor laughing! The romance in this book was top notch and I am sad to see Harrison’s book come to an end but the ride was oh so worth it! 

 

Lyra outdid herself with this book and I think it was my favorite yet. Harrison was by far my favorite character and his POV shocked me the most. I loved how he was actually really aware of his emotions and feelings towards Grace from the beginning and goes all in when he gets his shot. I also found the way he pushed and pushed to get her to see him heartbreaking since this book does have a third act break-up. 

 

Grace was the perfect ice to Harrison’s heat while also not being an ice queen. I enjoyed how she was more cautious but loved the idea of love. The only thing I can say though was that I was not a fan of how she kept pushing Harrison away. I wanted to just reach in and shake her at times just to get her to see reason. I did think her redemption after the third act break up was perfect though. Lyra was able to capture the hesitation and preservation Grace had in a way that made her seem raw and real to me. 

 

This book is a spicy romance and Lyra did not disappoint with the heat and tension between these two! Harrison and Grace was full of witty banter, spicy tension and lust filled chemistry from page one and I was so happy they got their HEA at the end! Now I’m counting down until the next Valentine falls!
