Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes

5.0

Rating: 5 stars

Flowers for Algernon is the story of Charlie who was mentally handicapped from birth, until an experimental treatment he underwent in his thirties changed his life. But it seems the results will only be temporary. This book is one of the most precious things I have ever read. I devoured it in one sitting while at home sick, and almost started it over again once I had finished because it was that good. I cannot sing its praises loud enough. Flowers for Algernon is a timeless classic for a damn good reason.
