To Desire Her by Nicole Briones, Nicole Briones

This book was alright.
I loved the FMC most the time and the MMC was mostly like a normal Alpha male shifter.
I think the rules of this alpha world were interesting and unique. Something I haven’t read before.
The smex scenes you freaking hot as heck my gosh! Especially the outside of the trailer one… best one of the whole book.
The writing was pretty good throughout and kept my attention.
I think this book had so much potential to be amazing but there were things that had it missing the mark.
There seemed to be plenty of developmental holes and minor plot holes where things definitely need to have been added to give it the full context.
There were moments the writing seemed a bit juvenile but it never lasted long so it was easy to move past.
The FMC having depression was a great addition but it felt sporadic, it didn’t seem like the author understood what depression is or how it affects most people and just used the stereotype.
I wasn’t super fond that even in wolf shifters the woman are weaker then men and can’t fight situation but that was apart of the plot so I understood the necessity.
In regards to the smex scene it was a missed opportunity to have an extended scene of their first time together mating since in their first round they didn’t mark each other and being that is such an important part of shifters it should have been apart of the book instead of mentioned that it happened.
