I loved the prose. The writing was beautiful to read as Tran explored his experiences growing up in America from his family’s emotional and physical abuse to adopting punk and reading classic literature in searching for acceptance. But the anecdotes were also mixed well with humor. I enjoyed how each chapter was titled after a classic and how its themes were woven into his recounting of his memories.
