Berserk, Vol. 7 by Kentaro Miura

dark tense fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? Yes
  • Loveable characters? Yes

4.5

Something I am not a huge fan of is the way that Casca is portrayed as overly sexualised when she is literally in the middle of fighting, but I guess there isn't much I can do about that. Other than that, this was a great read!

We are getting some more wonderful tasty character development and all the combat and action felt tense and epic and I am greatly looking forward to seeing how the Battle for Doldrey pans out. It really feels like things are finally just complex and interesting enough as I am invested in the main characters as they throw themselves into increasingly insane combat and general situations.

2024 reread
Character development! More Griffith backstory! Big battles!
Guts planning on leaving The Band of the Hawk which I am sure will go simply so well for everyone involved
What a time!
