I know I usually put a synopsis, but sitting at just over 100 pages, I don't really want to tell you anything. Go in as blind as possible.
I'm going to attempt to be super vague with this review, just know that it's an unnerving and gross book that you can read in little over an hour. Being structured in emails and instant messages between the two main characters, gives us only snippets of the story, really helping to propel the narrative forward. I couldn't read it quick enough.
I love how the author completely flips this one on its head by the end, and how he utilises a sinister opening story about something as mundane as an apple pealer to bring our characters together, and set the tone for the whole novella. I definitely recommend this one for spooky season, it was clever, and gross, and weird, and I loved it 💁🏻♀️
