Man, this book was so good and the last chapter basically ruined it for me. I wish Gilbert wasn't so damn pathetic and pushy if that's who Helen was going to end up with. :/ Would've preferred just to see her single and happy but I guess for the time period, just the events of this book were unusually empowering. Still. Ugh.
