I really did not expect to love this book even more than The Kiss Quotient, because how could I love anyone more than Stella and Michael, but this was so complex and layered and exactly my cup of tea! Yay for Helen Hoang! Y’all really had me thinking this was going to be a horrible reading experience because of the sensitive subject material. I understand the desire to read romance novels that are pure fluff and sunshine, but tender stories with nuanced themes and conflict I think are not only necessary but more reflective of all of our lives, and for me, that means easier to connect with. More thoughts to come :)
