If the Sun Never Sets by Ana Huang
3.0
Five years ago, Blake broke Farrah’s heart. When Farrah walks into her lunch meeting, Blake is the last person she expects to see. He’s her first potential client as a freelance interior designer. On the surface, Blake has it all, but inside he’s haunted by nightmares of a tragic loss and the dream of a girl he once betrayed. He takes this lunch meeting as a sign orchestrated by fate and is more determined than ever to get Farrah back.
IF THE SUN NEVER SETS is the second installment of the If Love series and is the completion of Blake and Farrah’s story that begins in book one (If We Ever Meet Again).
This book starts five years after the first book ends and is set in New York City. I really enjoyed the time delay between the two books because it was nice to see how the characters grew, matured, and changed over the passage of time and outside of an academic setting.
I thought the romance shared between Farrah and Blake was really sweet, but I was a bit disappointed by the immaturity and lack of communication that occurs between the two, particularly with regard to significant information that has developed. I did enjoy the angst and some groveling that ensued – gotta do what needs to be done for that second chance, amiright?
The ending is super cute and ends on a happy note!
