Orange's 'There There' was a masterpiece of suspenseful literary fiction.  I loved how 'Wandering Stars' was both a prequel and sequel to 'There There'.  While the writing was heartachingly beautiful, I plodded and plodded through this book.  It was often very dense, and I found adjusting to the changes in pacing challenging.  The characters in this family saga were wonderfully developed, and they will stay with me.
