Man, I like this series but some of the writing in this book was whew. Pretty cheesy. Don’t remember this from the other books in the series. Also plot holes. And then Caitlyn is a bit annoying. But the story is captivating and makes you read til the ending.
Examples of the writing that made me 🙄
1) he’s either scoped out his entry and escape routes from the crime scenes ahead of time—like a SEAL team infiltrating a terrorist hideout—or he’s extremely familiar with the city.
2) it’s right there and I completely overlooked it. And I’m the one with a background in psyops.”
3) “Call and tell the restaurant you won’t be cooking tonight. We don’t have a second to waste.” She put it in gear.
