Louisa May Alcott has created such a delightful character in this book. Polly is inspiring. Her outlook on life and her ability to turn situations positive are uplighting and wonderful to read. 

This is a book, like Anne of Green Gables, that I will re-read during those difficult times in life when things just seem rough because Polly and Anne are a bright, beautiful light in an otherwise dark world.
