I stumbled across this on the "Lucky Day" shelf at my library when I went in to get another book. The inside cover sounded intriguing and so I picked it up. I didn't finish it within the seven days so put it on hold digitally. Got lucky with that too as it came available quickly.
Anyway, the way the author dedicated the book to Terry Brooks didn't leave me with the highest expectations, but I was surprised. I really enjoyed this. The story pulled me in, the characters won me over and it was overall a great read. The only downside is that since this just came out I'll have to wait a while for the next one. If you are a fantasy fan, I recommend this.
I will also add there were a few eye rolling moments and I definitely saw the Terry Brooks influence.
