Thank you for the ARC, my reviews remain honest!

Hockey romance and fake dating?? Sold.

This book was such a good read for me, I devoured it. The banter between our characters was just so good, I loved how they were able to play off one another so early on as well. Nina and Rhode just clicked.

Their introduction and how they met had me immediately laughing out loud at several points. She’s his Lyft driver and after a car accident she begs Rhode to be her fake date because her walking red flag ex shows up. I lost it when Rhode had to keep subtly reminding Nina that she was the one who wanted to fake date lol. The fact that they both lied about their careers too?? They were definitely sharing the brain cell in that moment. Speaking of brains, what an unfortunate job to have to fake, I would never be able to keep up with that story. And the fact that Rhode bought it and Nina had to keep it up?? I was sweating for her until the truth came out.

I really fell in love with both of their characters. I especially could relate to Nina and the struggles she faced. I felt so seen as I read about her anxiety, and the way it is represented in the story felt so realistic for me. I need the author to share reference images for her tattoos, I am desperate to see them. Do you hear me Meredith? Tattoo pictures please!!

The way the book was written just kept me so engaged and had me flying through it. I was unable to put this book down, I just needed to know what would happen next and where the story, and secrets, were going!

Finally, Chicken is my baby, I would die, AND kill for him.
