The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

4.0

So this would definitely been given a higher rating had it not been for my difficulties within the first 100-150 pages. Here was my problem with them: I felt like I was back in school reading a basics to psychology text. I’m a psychology graduate so a lot of the information given within those pages was somewhat boring to me. But I won’t blame the author for that. It’s information that needs to be explained to readers.

What I did enjoy about this book was how it felt like a journey to find the answers. The main male character journeys from suspect to suspect to find answers. And most importantly, this will remain to be one of my favorite thrillers because of that spine tingling and flabbergasting ending!!! Wow! Well done to the author for creating this amazing surprise. Especially since this is his debut novel.

Overall, this is a book I recommend for all readers, thriller fans or not.
