He felt then his body was a metaphor, human history some elaborate hoax, the world made against itself, split in half everywhere with its good and evil, love and hate, day and night, dream and waking, heaven and hell, Indians and men.

an intergenerational story, about indigenous people. their culture, life and racism they felt on their own land.

reading this book opened up my knowledge and trained my sympathy towards this matter, also the writing style is very beautiful with a natural approach. addiction, love, family and the need to provide something for the community play such a big part in this book. i’m very much enjoy it, although sometimes the slow pace makes the storyline become redundant. also, the chapter made me work extra hard to figure out who is who.

but as an overall thought, this is such an important reading experience.
