What I Liked:
  • God I loved this book. At first, I wasn't so sure. It's a book about a Jewish MC who loves Christmas - I thought that felt a little..... like a cop-out? Like we don't get many Jewish romances, why did this one have to be about a Jewish MC essentially going against her religion? Well I was SADLY mistaken and I'm so glad I gave this book a chance because it was SO much more than that.
  • I learned a LOT about Judaism.
  • I love love LOVED this concept and the characters.
  • INCREDIBLE chronic illness representation as well! That's another thing we don't get enough of and I thought it was done brilliantly, especially regarding Jacob's reaction to her illness.
  • The writing and pacing of this book were just SO well done. I listened to it and it was INCREDIBLE on audio.
